Recipe : Famous Duck Serundeng ( Abon Bebek)
Ever taste Duck Serundeng? The duck meat made into a dried side dish with rice. Usually at Indonesia we enjoy beef or chicken serundeng or it calls abon. And this one is the another version of various kind of abon in Indonesia. Wanna know more? Lets go and make it!
Main Ingredient :
- 800 gr duck breast meat
- 500 ml coconut milk
Ground Spices :
- 2 tbsp shallots sliced
- 3 tbsp garlic cloves sliced
- 2 tbsp roasted candlenut
- 1 tbsp roasted coriander
- 1 tsp caraway
- 1 tbsp turmeric sliced
- 1 tbsp salt
Note : grind all ground spices by using food processor or mortar and pestle
Other Spices :
- 2 tbsp tamarind juice
- 2 indonesian bay leaves
- 1 galangal sliced ( bruised)
- 1 lemongrass ( bruised)
- 2 lime leaves
- 2 tbsp sugar
How To Make :
- Heat a little coking oil in a pan.
- Cook the duck meat, coconut milk, ground spices and other spices together. Cover the pan. Cook in medium heat.
- Cook until the spices sink in and coconut milk already shrink.
- After that, shred the spices duck meat into a pieces.
- Heat a little cooking oil in a pan.
- fry the shred duck meat until has a yellow browning colour.
- Drain the fried duck meat in the food draining, so the oil will release.
- Your Duck Abon ready to serve!
